It is not America’s job or responsibility, nor any other country’s, to free Hong Kong. They must free themselves or else they will never be free. If mainland Chinese were smart, they would join with Hong Kong, and many have. One man cannot free another man. Freedom is the natural state of being for humans, but if you believe you must accept the authority of another person, then you are in the unnatural state of slavery. This is the fundamental flaw in neo-conservatism (Brzezinski, CFR et al) and their continuous regime change wars.
The people of Hong Kong and the Chinese people must do it. That is the only way revolution has any meaning or lasting value. You cannot give people their liberty. They must take it for themselves and believe in themselves.
