The Tides Turns Against Greenpeace (reblog)
“Ignorance and magic are their shield and their armour, which is fair enough: the right to be invincibly stupid is inalienable. But invincible stupidity does not confer the right to damage other people’s property, to wreck scientific inquiry by midnight vandalism, to oppose the rule of democratically created law by organised criminality.”

Intolerable Intolerance and the Fascist Tyranny of the Gay Agenda
“Activists are searching out small businesses to destroy, if the owner doesn’t want to make a cake celebrating gay weddings. These predators want owners financially destroyed, and preferably jailed, for such a hate crime. Of course, the actual hate crime is calling down state violence on the peaceful.
In a free society, unlike the current USA, customers are free to choose the commercial enterprises they wish to patronize, and owners may make their own decisions. Virtually no business owner will turn down a paying customer–Jim Crow laws, for example, had to be enforced by state violence. But if you own property, you should be able to make the rules.
Some years ago, a woman colleague from the Ron Paul congressional campaign and I went to lunch in a gay area of Houston. We weren’t in the all-male restaurant for long before some of the patrons began muttering nasty and obscene things. As we prepared to leave, the manager asked us to go.
Both of us–being libertarians–upheld the restaurant’s right to discriminate. That is tolerance. Indeed, what decent person would seek to force himself, at the point of a government gun, on those who do not want him? Freedom of association and disassociation is a bedrock of liberty and social peace.” ~ Lew Rockwell
Shame on America for tolerating such abuse of their First Amendment rights.

The Affordable Plumbing Act
A few weeks after leaving office, former president Obama discovers a water leak under his sink. He calls Joe the Plumber to come out and fix it. Joe drives to Obama’ s new house, located in an exclusive, gated community near Chicago where all the residents have a net income of more than $250,000 per year.
Joe arrives and brings his tools into the house. Joe is led to the guest bathroom that contains the leaky pipe under the sink. Joe assesses the problem and tells Obama that it’s an easy repair that will take less than 10 minutes. Obama asks Joe how much it will cost. Joe checks his rate chart and says, “$9,500.”
“What?! $9,500? Obama asks, stunned. You said it’s an easy repair. Michelle will whip me if I pay a plumber that much!”
Joe says, “Yes, but my practice is to charge those who make $250,000 per year a much higher amount so I can fix the plumbing of poorer people for free. It’s always been my philosophy. As a matter of fact, I lobbied the Democrat Congress, who passed this philosophy into law. Now all plumbers must do business this way. It’s known as the ‘Affordable Plumbing Act of 2014’. I’m surprised you haven’t heard about it.”
In spite of that, Obama tells Joe there’s no way he’s paying that much for a small plumbing repair, so Joe leaves. Obama spends the next hour flipping through the phone book calling for another plumber, but he finds that all other plumbing businesses in the area have gone out of business. Not wanting to pay Joe’s price, Obama does nothing and the leak goes unrepaired for several more days. A week later the leak is so bad that Obama has to put a bucket under the sink. Michelle is not happy; Oprah and other guests arrive the next morning. The bucket fills up quickly and has to be emptied every hour. There’s a risk that the room will flood, so Obama calls Joe and pleads with him to return.
Joe goes back to Obama’s house, looks at the leaky pipe, checks his new rate chart and says, “Let’s see, this will now cost you $21,000. ”
Obama quickly fires back, “What! A few days ago you told me it would cost $9,500!”
Joe explains, “Well, because of the ‘Affordable Plumbing Act’, a lot of wealthy people are learning how to maintain their own plumbing, so there are fewer payers into the plumbing exchanges. As a result, the price I have to charge wealthy people like you keeps rising. Not only that, but for some reason the demand for plumbing work by those who get it for free has skyrocketed! There’s a long waiting list of those who need repairs but the amount we get doesn’t cover our costs. This unfortunately has put a lot of my fellow plumbers out of business, and they are not being replaced. Nobody is going into the plumbing business because they can’t make any money at it. I’m hurting, too, all thanks to greedy rich people like you who won’t pay their fair share.” from Bobby in Lanexa . . . .

“The Return of American Fascism”
“In Edward Bellamy’s widely read socialist fantasy novel Looking Backward, 2000–1887, a Rip Van Winkle character goes to sleep in the year 1887 and awakens in the year 2000 to discover a changed world. His twentyfirst century companions explain to him how the utopia that astonishes him emerged in the 1930s from the hell of the 1880s. “That utopia involved the promise of security ‘from cradle to grave’—the first use of the that phrase we have come across—as well as detailed government planning, including compulsory national service by all persons over an extended period.”[1] Bellamy’s fiction became much of the world’s reality in twentieth-century socialism. Bellamy believed that “human nature is naturally good and people are ‘godlike in aspirations . . . with divinest impulses of tenderness and self-sacrifice.’ Therefore, once external conditions are made acceptable, the Ten Commandments become ‘well-nigh obsolete,’ bringing us a ‘second birth of the human race.’”[2] Bellamy managed to mix the perversions of socialism, secularism, and New Age philosophy into one impossible world.”[3]

Contrary to white house claims netanyahu laid out how to beat iran: reblog
The viable alternative is to support Israel and not support Iran and this crazed nuke agreement with Iran. Bibi said it repeatedly. But, instead, with Obama’s/Hillary’s/Kerry’s help, Iran – the foremost sponsor of global Islamic terrorism – could be weeks away from a pathway to nuclear weapons and full international legitimacy. Obama hears what he wants to hear and says what he (or Valerie really) want the media, astroturf and sheeple to repeat.
James Lewis had it spot on in the following article back in January 2013, as we can see by the events that have transpired.
“We will never achieve our objectives in the war on terrorism until we accept the fact that it is Shariah law that fosters radical Islam. Such an ideology is totally incompatible with our Constitution and our concept of freedom. However, with his release of five hard-core terrorists, it is clear the president will continue to subvert our Constitution until Congress finds the courage to carry out its constitutional responsibilities.” ~ Admiral James Lyons.

Another green one bites the dust
DOE announced last week it would close the $1.65B FutureGen project. “It was one of many federal energy projects experimenting in so-called “clean coal” technology. FutureGen sought to demonstrate the technical capabilities of carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) technology. CCS attempts to capture carbon dioxide emissions from coal-fired power plants and store it underground, eliminating an increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide.”
The CATO article at this link includes a useful link to a list of failed, federally subsidized energy programs. http://www.cato.org/blog/admitting-futuregens-failure
