It is deplorable that an organization such as Antifa along with Black Lives Matter (BLM), and the several subgroups of each of these organizations, are dominating cities such as Minneapolis, Portland, Oregon and Seattle. Dear The White Knight: I very rarely post anonymous comments. I was unable to connect your posts to an identity. You may want that and that is OK and understandable in today’s tense society. My life has been threatened on this blog several times. Requiring a real identity has greatly reduced that problem.

Almost all American big businesses now turned into the uniformly minded progressives and “liberasts” competing with each other how to better kiss Negro asses, their boots, to kneel lower, or to wash their feet cleaner. They are happy to give the money to BLM believing as though such an appeasement were a good short term tactic to avoid business troubles.
Here is one more interesting aspect about how rotten American businesses are now. Any business is supposed to lobby the government for the policies good for that business. Sure enough, manufacturers of solar panels and other “green products” lobby the government for the “green policies”. Fine. But do we hear that the coal industry lobbies government for coal?
Even more interestingly. The forests and thousands of houses burn down every year more and more – as a consequence of the illiterate policies of wrong maintenance of forests (introduced about 30 years ago during Clinton). Do we hear that insurance companies campaign for restoring of the old and sane policies of forest maintenance?! I have not heard about it. They do insist that you have a smock detector, but not that the government keep forests less flammable. They only increase their premiums, making their business less attractive and narrowing the profit margin. Why aren’t they in the first lines of the fighters for restoring the old policies so essential for their business?! – Because the business consideration do not matter any more for American businesses!

Thank you for your comments Mr. Gofen. And thanks for reading. The father of Friedrich Engels could be called a capitalist or industrialist. The descriptor does not fit Friedrich himself. It is similar to the “latte liberals” today, many are trust fund babies of capitalists who never learned which side to butter their bread, who or how it was buttered.
Yes, there was a period in America’s and England’s early 20th century when many well off and well connected families believed and supported Hitler and Stalin. This is well documented history. This fascination with totalitarianism cycles around every 3 or 4 generations. Neil’s Howe’s books such as The Fourth Turning speak to this cycle. As he points out, the cycle leads to a great crisis. There is this hubristic fascination with human logic and reason, like Kant and the differences between the rote-rational German/European Enlightenment versus the natural law enlightenment of John Locke, Adam Smith etc in the enlightenment of the British Isles. The founders and framers of America of course followed the latter. We are now severely off course, bent towards the ideological of Europe and away from the natural.
