George Bush, Henry Kissinger, David Rockefeller etc called it the New World Order. Edward Snowden has used the term generally to refer to the influence of civil servants over elected officials: “the deep state is not just the intelligence agencies, it is really a way of referring to the career bureaucracy of government. These are officials who sit in powerful positions, who don’t leave when presidents do, who watch presidents come and go … they influence policy, they influence presidents.”
Senator Rand Paul said, “Absolutely there is a deep state because the deep state is that the intelligence communities do not have oversight.” He continued, “There is no “SKEPTIC” [emphasis in original] among the four Republican and four Democratic Senators “who are supposedly” providing oversight, so that the intelligence communities, “with their enormous power … have become a deep state.” On December 4, 2018, Paul, in commenting on the CIA Director briefing only those eight Senators rather than the entire Senate, added “The deep state wants to keep everyone in the dark. This is just ridiculous!” On December 10, 2018, he said “The very definition of a ‘deep state’ is when the very people, congressional leaders – people who are elected by the people – are not allowed to hear the intelligence.”
Here is U.S. President John F. Kennedy in his massive speech on this subject. He speaks bluntly. If you have not heard this recently, don’t miss it. JFK was the last true Democrat as far as I know. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AufFEWqrfIU
“There exists a shadowy Government with its own Air Force, its own Navy, its own fundraising mechanism, and the ability to pursue its own ideas of the national interest, free from all checks and balances, and free from the law itself.” ~ U.S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye, Democrat of Hawaii.
A few David Rockefeller quotes. David set up the Council of Foreign Relations (CFR) and the Trilateral Commission. CFR publishes Foreign Affairs magazine, its propaganda arm.
“We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years……It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supernational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in past centuries.”
~ David Rockefeller
“For more than a century ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents such as my encounter with Castro to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure–one world, if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.” ~ David Rockefeller, in his posthumously published book titled Memoirs

The late Georgetown University Professor Carroll Quigley, a mentor to President Bill Clinton, was close to the core of the Deep State for years, and, while he disagreed with the secrecy, he admitted to agreeing with most of its aims. He was even allowed to examine their records for a period of time.
And then, spilling the proverbial beans, Quigley put some of his explosive findings in his massive 1966 book Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World in Our Time. (Free pdf at link below.)
Quigley offered extremely important insight into the agenda, especially the monetary machinations, of the real Deep State.
“The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole,” he explained on page 324.
“This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences.”
“The apex of the system was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world’s central banks which were themselves private corporations.”
Indeed, just as Quigley explained, the world now exists under what could fairly be described as a neofeudalist-type system. And international entities such as the Bank of International Settlements, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the World Bank play key roles in it all.
