Dr. Vaclav Klaus

At this link is an 18-minute talk by Dr. Vaclav Klaus, economist, former president of the Czech Republic, critic of the European Union.  Prescient. Enjoy. I have listened and watched several times and learn each time. And a great sense of humor. Hat tip to Tim Ball and Tom Tamarkin for reminding me of this great lecture.

I was at that conference in NY back in 2009. Very informative.

Vaclav Klaus is NOT a former president of the European Union. Please check your facts before you write your blogs. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V%C3%A1clav_Klaus

Yes, thank you for this correction Leon. Dr. Klaus was President of the Czech Republic at the time the Czech Republic was due to take the rotating seat of the presidency of the relatively new EU. But, at that time. Klaus refused to sign the Lisbon Treaty that was a basis for the EU. Klaus was/is a strong critic of the EU. He signed the treaty later, reluctantly, as last to sign at that time. Thank you.
