Here’s the next trend. It’s already underway. You can take it to the bank. It’s the next investment trend. You can go long and you can short it, or you can hedge it. But just don’t try to time it. There is no fuse on human stupidity.
No worries about freezing or burning to death based on empirical observation of nature. Human population will be long gone or extinct thousands of years before freezing to death or burning up becomes a problem. Human extinction or interstellar migration will not be based on earth’s temperature. It will be due to politics and mistakes like political correctness. Political correctness could kill the earth – at least for the purposes of human life – for example, by killing the easily ignorable oceans with trash, or mistaken attempts at climate engineering such as seeding clouds. But, the next best thing is more immediate than any of that.
The next trend, the trend that is replacing ‘climate change’ in the continuing tragedy of identity politics known today as “social justice,” is gender equality…also known as #MeToo. Some of my best friends have already succumbed to that fraud, just as they did to the global warming/climate change fraud. But, human population is far more likely to become extinct or migrate because men can no longer get it up, having been pussy-whipped by Amazons for so long that they have become infertile and the sperm banks have been emptied. That will take a while. But today, you can invest in the cycle, in the trend, in the socionomics of the reality of the trend.
Buy long the companies and countries that ignore the gender equality #MeToo ‘social justice’ fraud. Over time, they will excel over the companies and countries that buy into the ‘social justice’ fraud of gender equality. The trend, this fraud, is just another version of identity politics. There are ways to fine tune it, tweak it and parse it. But, at the end of the day, your portfolio will be stronger in the companies that ignored it and hired based on merit and competence and weaker in those companies and countries that allowed their hiring and employment practices to be based on equality.
I am not endorsing misogyny. The Weinsteins, Clintons, Simpsons, and those hiding behind the veil of religion should be in jail. However, I am endorsing discrimination based on merit and I have long done so on this blog as well as in my life and business.
Here is a good article on the subject by the fearless and brave Heather McDonald at Manhattan Institute, this one published in Imprimis by Hillsdale College, a brave and fearless independent organization well worth your philanthropic attentions. Enjoy.
