Abstract
In March 2020, the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC) was created and led by Professor Paul E. Marik to continuously review the rapidly emerging basic science, translational, and clinical data to develop a treatment protocol for COVID-19. The FLCCC then recently discovered that ivermectin, an anti-parasitic medicine, has highly potent anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties against COVID-19. They then identified repeated, consistent, large magnitude improvements in clinical outcomes in multiple, large, randomized and observational controlled trials in both prophylaxis and treatment of COVID-19. Further, data showing impacts on population wide health outcomes have resulted from multiple, large “natural experiments” that occurred when various city mayors and regional health ministries within South American countries initiated “ivermectin distribution” campaigns to their citizen populations in the hopes the drug would prove effective. The tight, reproducible, temporally associated decreases in case counts and case fatality rates in each of those regions compared to nearby regions without such campaigns, suggest that ivermectin may prove to be a global solution to the pandemic. This was further evidenced by the recent incorporation of ivermectin as a prophylaxis and treatment agent for COVID-19 in the national treatment guidelines of Belize, Macedonia, and the state of Uttar Pradesh in Northern India, populated by 210 million people. To our knowledge, the current review is the earliest to compile sufficient clinical data to demonstrate the strong signal of therapeutic efficacy as it is based on numerous clinical trials in multiple disease phases. One limitation is that half the controlled trials have been published in peer-reviewed publications, with the remainder taken from manuscripts uploaded to medicine pre-print servers. Although it is now standard practice for trials data from pre-print servers to immediately influence therapeutic practices during the pandemic, given the controversial therapeutics adopted as a result of this practice, the FLCCC argues that it is imperative that our major national and international health care agencies devote the necessary resources to more quickly validate these studies and confirm the major, positive epidemiological impacts that have been recorded when ivermectin is widely distributed among populations with a high incidence of COVID-19 infections.

Pseudo-science is not how we got to the moon. It is however endemic to the climate change industry. We enjoy the benefits of the age of enlightenment. The instrument of reason is inquiry. We learn by questioning. In real science, understanding is constantly tested. With removal of questioning, the age of enlightenment reverts to an age of fear and superstition.
One must wonder if these are the activities of a promoter of scientific understanding or an instrument of social dogma. The real travesty in this affair is what, on the grounds of a contrived crisis, have been ignored. While countless resources are diverted to a crisis of convenience, the real mechanism, those behind changes of regional climate, have been relegated to the dustbin of ignorance.
The distorted narrative on climate is the product of a post-modern universe in which ideology trumps reason. In this universe, a student of ancient kangaroos or tree rings becomes an expert on the atmosphere. The purveyors of ideology count on it being mass marketed under the guise of virtue coupled with unquestioning naivete. Blind deference to ideology however has a price.
In more ways than one.
Implicit in effective communication is suppression of contradictory evidence while media gatekeepers discriminate information to the party line. If even that proves insufficient, the industry resorts to slander.

Why the climate change industry resorts to these tactics is hardly a mystery. They have to. Were climate gladiators ever to go head-to-head with hard scientists, real scientists, with demonstrated capacity in what actually controls the atmosphere, they would be laughed out of the coliseum once and for all. Until then, this festering sore on the public’s back will chronically re-emerge with the frequency of the political cycle.
There is only one protection against the perversion of science.

It’s the same protection against the perversion of law and the manipulation of information by media: ensure that both sides are represented. Where that protection is circumvented is not science nor any legitimate process because it blocks the avenue to truth.
The importance of this safeguard was illustrated by the Challenger disaster. When the Space Shuttle exploded on launch that failure jeopardized NASA’s multi-billion-dollar shuttle program. The mystery was eventually solved because NASA was forced to open the discussion. It yielded a robust scientific exchange unbridled by vested interests. The mystery was solved by an outsider. A critical component of the shuttle had been defated by government experts. Those claims were falsified. By Richard Feynman. The shuttle program wasn’t saved by government experts. It was saved by one who challenged those experts.
The promoted view of atmospheric CO2, the foundation of the climate change industry, is the product of a universe in which atmospheric CO2 changes only through human emission but a few percent of natural emission, which is assumed to be asleep. A universe in which isotopic changes that are inherent to natural CO2 are portrayed as a unique signature of human emission. A universe in which CO2 is removed from the atmosphere even if there is no CO2 in the atmosphere. And most unsettling, a universe in which observed behavior that falsifies tenets of the climate change industry is verboten, silenced and systematically expunged from the record. In this universe, only one side is permitted: the party line. The consequence of this last feature is transparent. It conceals fundamental errors of this fantasy universe; this universe is not governed by the laws of physics or any hard science. It is governed by ideology. The end justifies the means.
The failure of institutionalized science to treat this subject objectively, how science must be done, will be an indelible blight on credibility of science. Under post-modern influence in pursuit of cash and influence, the very institutions who are supposed to advance science, not for political gain but for understanding of the natural world, will have shot science in the foot. Why they gravitated to this state isn’t difficult to understand. A society which supports only one side of a divisive issue shall have only one side.

Abstract: Emerging variants of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) are of clinical concern. In a cohort of 417 persons who had received the second dose of BNT162b2 (Pfizer–BioNTech) or mRNA-1273 (Moderna) vaccine at least 2 weeks previously, we identified 2 women with vaccine breakthrough infection. Despite evidence of vaccine efficacy in both women, symptoms of coronavirus disease 2019 developed, and they tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 by polymerase-chain-reaction testing. Viral sequencing revealed variants of likely clinical importance, including E484K in 1 woman and three mutations (T95I, del142–144, and D614G) in both. These observations indicate a potential risk of illness after successful vaccination and subsequent infection with variant virus, and they provide support for continued efforts to prevent and diagnose infection and to characterize variants in vaccinated persons.
