Globalists are ____?

Sports doping is caused by global warming. (Just joking.) Globalists are serious people; there is always a cause for them to get behind. And then there is the rest of us in the here and now.  Perhaps they need to grow a tomato or something.  And then distribute their tomato to the rest of us.

Chaos and hypocrisy.

Right now the European Union is falling apart. Poland did not go along with the EU’s plan. And, the big members of the EU are refusing to pay their share of their common defense, an unsustainable situation which Trump campaigned as unsustainable. Poland wants no part of the Brussels hypocrisy. Brexit is formally approved. Italy and Spain want to continue their caste-based systems. France, Germany and Poland are in a twit. Oh my. How does one have a union if it is based on class?

Morally blind?

An example of the danger when there is no moral compass except the law, using the law as a means to an amoral end is the same sociopathy as Bill Clinton’s infamous comment about his sordid affair with an employee, “I did it because I could.” Justice is not blind; lawyers take cases which they believe they can win…regardless the cause is good or bad.

On the other hand, if a lawyer is to make a moral judgment, which moral code do they use when they have already allowed the Ten Commandments to be torn down?

The brilliant Neal Katyal, as former acting solicitor general of the United States during the Obama administration he successfully argued cases before the Supreme Court, and he successfully sued the United States on behalf of Al Qaida terrorists, has filed suit with questionable standing on behalf of the state of Hawaii against the Trump administration, seeking to block the president’s latest executive order on immigration. Hawaii has received only a handful of refugees. Also, Katyal wrote a NYT op-ed supporting Neil Gorsuch, Trump’s nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court.

It is wonderful to be able to think with an open mind, to be able to consider all of the possibilities, but gravity cannot be suspended by a court. A purely secular state and legal system is not practical.

Lindzen’s letter to Trump

“For far too long, one body of men, establishment climate scientists, has been permitted to be judges and parties on what the “risks to the Earth system associated with increasing levels of carbon dioxide” really are.

“Let me explain in somewhat greater detail why we call for withdrawal from the UNFCCC. [United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change]

“The UNFCCC was established twenty-five years ago, to find scientific support for dangers from increasing carbon dioxide. While this has led to generous and rapidly increased support for the field, the purported dangers remain hypothetical, model-based projections. By contrast, the benefits of increasing CO2 and modest warming are clearer than ever, and they are supported by dramatic satellite images of a greening Earth.

The UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) no longer claims a greater likelihood of significant as opposed to negligible future warming,

It has long been acknowledged by the IPCC that climate change prior to the 1960’s could not have been due to anthropogenic greenhouse gases. Yet, pre-1960 instrumentally observed temperatures show many warming episodes, similar to the one since 1960, for example, from 1915 to 1950, and from 1850 to 1890. None of these could have been caused by an increase in atmospheric CO2,

Model projections of warming during recent decades have greatly exceeded what has been observed,

The modelling community has openly acknowledged that the ability of existing models to simulate past climates is due to numerous arbitrary tuning adjustments,

Observations show no statistically valid trends in flooding or drought, and no meaningful acceleration whatsoever of pre-existing long term sea level rise (about 6 inches per century) worldwide,

Current carbon dioxide levels, around 400 parts per million are still very small compared to the averages over geological history, when thousands of parts per million prevailed, and when life flourished on land and in the oceans.

“Calls to limit carbon dioxide emissions are even less persuasive today than 25 years ago. Future research should focus on dispassionate, high-quality climate science, not on efforts to prop up an increasingly frayed narrative of “carbon pollution.” Until scientific research is unfettered from the constraints of the policy-driven UNFCCC, the research community will fail in its obligation to the public that pays the bills.”

Professor Richard Lindzen, PhD. Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Meteorology, Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Science, MIT.

The first bullet point may be a bit subtle. Unlike prior reports, the Summary for Policymakers of the UN Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change (IPCC) Fifth Assessment Report (AR-5, 2013) does not give projections of likely outcomes but a range of outcomes under different CO2 scenarios (storylines).  (Explanation by Ken Haapala, President, Science and Environment Policy Project.  (SEPP)

Socialism Revisited (reblog)

Socialism Revisited
by MC

Socialism is the sponsor of Islam. It believes it can use Islam to once more break Judeo-Christianity, as it did many hundreds of years ago in North Africa. Socialism also believes that, by associating every violent act of the so-called ‘religion of peace’ with a fabricated Judeo-Christian potential for revenge (backlash) violence, they can tar all god-centric religions with the same brush, leaving the field clear for man’s worship of men. But allah is not Yahovah, and mohammed is not Yahushua (Jesus) , the koran is not the Bible and shariah is not Torah.

We now have a few more socialist/Islamist countries going legs in the air and requiring us to bail them out for the sake of humanity. Exactly when is socialism/Islam going to stop bleeding us dry? When is socialism going to stop its scarification of society, supposedly in the search for a cure to so-called ‘poverty’.

I was a poor kid. My father died of radiation-induced cancer when I was in my early teens. I did not go on the school cruise; I had to go to school and eke out the days whilst the richer kids visited the world.

There was no help, just a widow’s pension. My dad was an officer, and officers’ families did not qualify for anything.

So-called ‘poor’ people have to fit a particularly narrow political ‘victimhood’ profile to be thus designated, and the real honest ‘poor’ very rarely fit any profile at all — poverty can suddenly happen to any of us.

When Donald Trump won the election a huge howl of rage went up from the socialist left, and now we see them scurrying around trying to pretend that the election was ‘stolen’ and that if Trump were a white man, dishonest fool, gentleman, useful idiot he would step down and give H & O the ultimate socialist accolade — the grand and most arrogant order of the bad loser made good.

Socialism takes one up to a high place and shows one the world and all its faults therein and demands, “What are you going to do about it; what is to be done?” It then offers to do something about it on your behalf, if you will just submit to the cause. Apparent good works by proxy to those who bend the knee.

In an age where there is no defined morality, socialism becomes even more dangerous because to those warriors of socialism for whom the ends justify the means, if the path to their utopia appears to require extreme measures, then they will take them, regardless of cost and cruelty.

Socialism requires smoke and mirrors. It requires the dumb acceptance of mayhem and murder. In the months preceding the Bolshevik coup d’état in 1917, people wondered where their next meal was coming from. The Duma could not feed them, the Mensheviks failed to feed them, and then maybe, just maybe the Bolsheviks could (but did not). Food became conditional upon the acceptance of party doctrine, the doctrine of advanced socialism and death quotas.

In the 21st-century revolution, a comfort zone had been set up by the media in which Mama Hillary and Papa Barry know best, but H was just too fetid for the sweet violets to entirely mask the stench of corruption, and it leaked out.

It would appear that the first overtly socialist administration of the USA is responsible for some half million lives in Iraq, Syria and Libya and any ‘knock-on effects’ in the homeland. They have demonstrated a two- (or more) tier approach to “one law for all” (and a no-law approach for themselves and their cronies; plus pizza pie for all concerned) , and have shown no regard whatsoever for the sanctity of human life (why is it that Clinton/Obama ex-associates die with such amazing regularity?).

There is the most subtle and serpentine of minds behind this Socialism (and its close cousin, Islam) and I have to admit that it is all very well thought through.

It took a malicious genius to invent ‘racism’ as the defining meme of our time. Just what is ‘racism’? It is a supposedly heinous crime conjured out of a post-Holocaust political rotten smell, and thrown like a sticky bomb at one’s political enemies. It is an evil miasma of supposed wrongdoing inflated into a poisonous virtual gas chamber, a zyklon hell that eclipses all God-given life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

At the root of the idea of ‘racism’ is the attempted genocide of European Jewry. But the murderous anti-Semitism behind the Holocaust, and therefore, behind racism, is over-represented among those of the political left. One of the rules for revolutionaries is to always accuse your enemy of those things of which you are yourself guilty.

Racism is thus a by-product of socialism, and socialists are the main practitioners of that same racism, now morphed into an anti-white ‘racism’ that is rampant, violent and vicious in our societies. Where once upon a time the Democrats were the pro-slavery party and the instigators of the original KKK, they now conjure with the idea of ‘white privilege’ as something negative. Isn’t it obvious that in a culture and civilization that was almost exclusively contrived by ‘whites’, there should be embedded ‘white-privileged’ ways of doing things?

That we are prepared to share our ‘white’ culture is good, but the left wants us to compromise it because it is too ‘white’. DUH and double DUH! — but all too many people believe the propaganda.

‘Fake news’ is not a new phenomenon; you and I have been sold a propaganda pup most of our lives.

Socialism is like certain types of cancer: a product of an unwise lifestyle. It attacks the body bit by bit, rendering it unproductive, and eventually attacks and destroys its vital organs. In our democratic societies the media is socialist. Its function as an organ of truth is defunct, and thus the body is out of balance. That Donald Trump won the election convincingly is obvious unless one relies on a mainstream media narrative which is mainly fake.

So a true democrat would accept that his party lost this time around, but Democrats are now something different; they are something religious, something more like wannabe Bolsheviks.

There are basic natural laws in society, without which there is no society. First is the sanctity of human life: Thou shalt not murder. The second is one law for all. Socialism decries these basic fundamentals by assuming that their utopian ends justify their animalistic means. So whilst the ‘people’ must always obey their law, Social Justice Warriors can do anything which moves society towards their utopia at the end of their rainbow. It’s a case of ‘My life is sacred; yours is not, but you must obey the laws that I make for you, and I reserve the right to abrogate and interpret those laws according to my whim because I’m intelligent and strong and you are weak and ignorant, therefore I’m right and you are wrong. It’s obvious, stupid’.

There is something ridiculous about socialism and its belief that mankind can solve all its problems if only people would just do as they are told by their betters — that is, those approved and certified socialist leaders, thinkers and theorisers. You know the ones: Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Ho Che Min, Che, Fidel, Benito and their henchmen. And if people cannot do as they are told, then they are no longer needed. Their lives are not sacred; life is utilitarian and therefore expendable.

The gullible of socialism are those who fall for the big con trick: the big lie that man is god, straight out of Genesis chapter 3, written thousands of years ago and still relevant today.

To leave socialism is to admit to being conned, and many just cannot do that. They cannot bear to be wrong and lose face and will therefore try to punch their way out of the corner, in doing so they become narcissistic fanatics, prepared to do violence to defend their irrationality.

I do not think Venezuela has an immigration problem. It is a modern demonstration of what happens in a socialist country when the coffers eventually run dry, when the lower middle classes can no longer be milked. That and huge oil reserves to boot. How long before the coffers run dry in Sweden? Whilst the right kind of immigrant can bring financial benefits, the wrong kind can be a financial disaster. The religious (all are equal) side of socialism cannot see the difference of course, and justifies the bringing in of financial parasites by quoting historical data about bona fide immigrants.

All lies, of course, but when there is no punishment for being caught telling lies, why not lie all the time? If the people are ignorant and gullible enough to believe, then let them burn.

Jesus told the parable of the good Samaritan in answer to the Pharisee’s question, “Who is my neighbour?” The priest and the scribe who passed by on the other side had other commitments, and would have become ‘unclean’ if they tangled with a dead body, and would therefore be unable to do their religious duties. The victim, of course is me, and the deliverer is the one who pays the price for me. It is well therefore to consider who is not my neighbour: the robbers (those totally without Law) the Priests for whom ritual and appearance are more important than succouring those in real need, and the scribes who copy out the scrolls of Torah, but believe themselves not to be bound by it. These members of my community are not my neighbours. The despised Samaritan who patches me up and who pays for me out of his own purse (not out of somebody else’s), He is my neighbour.

However, socialism, thinking it has better ‘wisdom’ than everybody else, stops the Samaritan before He ever gets to me, takes His money from Him and, having deducted its cut, gives the remainder to the robbers in the hope that it will appease them and that they will be good boys in the future. I am, in the meantime, left to it, wounded and helpless and my neighbour, the Samaritan, can no longer afford to help me (but He does anyway).

Among humans there is a need for law and order. Without it we become just another breed of animal. Socialists — whose prime wish is to trash the Judeo-Christian religion(s) and its laws — also expect to be able to retain the civilisation created by and around those laws. They are in for a shock when the penny finally drops and they realize that there is a symbiosis at work. To trash the religion is to also trash the resulting civilization that they enjoy so much. They really are like the cartoon character sawing through the same branch of the tree upon which he is sitting. And those rose-tinted spectacles of socialism can oh-so-easily turn blood red.

Ally with former communists or Muslims? That is the real question about NATO and the EU.

Ally with former communists or Muslims? That is the real question about NATO and the EU.

In case you missed it, France is nearing a state of civil war against Muslims within France. The French government and military are gearing up to fight the Muslims inside France.

French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said that “every day attacks are foiled … (including) as we speak.”  He continued, “nearly 15,000 people in France are being tracked because they are suspected of being in the process of radicalization, while 1,350 are under investigation – 293 of them for alleged links with a terrorism network.”

“‘Today the threat is at a maximum, and we are a target,’ Valls said on Europe 1 radio. ‘Every day intelligence services, police foil attacks, dismantle networks, track terrorists.’
Despite the tracking, with plots uncovered, ‘There will be new attacks. There will be innocent victims,’ the prime minister said.”  (1)

IMHO and personal experience, most Russians and Chinese, like most Iranians, are not enemies of freedom.  They want and appreciate freedom. The leaders, the politicians and the entrenched bureaucrats positioning for more power, more control and more money, i.e. the oligarchies, are the problem.

Russia and China versus America/NATO were enemies for a couple of generations. Today, I don’t think that is true. Russia and China are rapidly becoming capitalist. The oligarchies there know they cannot stop the transition to capitalism, so the oligarchies have decided to become crony capitalists like their ilk in America and Europe.  American, Russian, Chinese and Iranian people have two common enemies.  One enemy is the oligarchy running our respective governments.  The second enemy is the Islamist oligarchy.

We in America are moving in opposite directions from Russian and China with regard to capitalism.  But we are on the same path, passing in the night if you will.  This is where diplomacy, negotiation and deal making can succeed.

The oligarchy in the US is moving this nation rapidly to the Euro model of socialism, ruled of course by crony socialists.  (Of course, I vigorously disagree and resist that movement.)  Meanwhile, the Russians and the Chinese are moving in the opposite direction, moving away from communism and towards capitalism.  Russians and Chinese are now in Euro-socialism and moving rapidly toward crony capitalism. In addition, of course, Americans and the current U.S. government (but not the last U.S. government) share with the Russian people and the Russian government and with the Chinese people and the Chinese government an anathema regarding sharia and Islamism.   The Russians and Chinese understand that better than Americans.  In that sense, Americans have far more in common with Russians and Chinese than we do with the most but not all of the governments Europe; Hungary and Poland are outstanding examples to the contrary.

Continuing an alliance with NATO and the EU is becoming a problem.  For example, the U.S. military and intelligence will not be able to share with NATO and EU when NATO and EU countries become sharia compliant.  What will become of NATO and the EU when Italy falls to Islam? That is not a far off.  The current Prime Minister of Italy has said that Italy will not survive past 2017 if it remains compliant with EU immigration law. Italy will be overwhelmed by Islam.

World domination is the expressed intent of Islam. The Russians and Chinese already understand that. The U.S. and NATO and EU do not understand that.  Russia, China and the U.S. and free people everywhere have a common enemy, an enemy sworn until death to dominate all of us infidels. Our common external enemy is the oligarchy in Muslim countries who are using a dark-age, unreformed religious dogma to control people and nations.

In addition, we the people of America have far more in common with the people of Russia and the people of China and the people of Iran than we do with our own respective governments.  For example, neither the people of the U.S. nor the people of Iran would have approved billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to be paid to the government elites of Iran, as Obama/Kerry did without Congressional approval.

Unfortunately, due to generations of indoctrination, we do not have much in common with the people in most other Muslim countries.  That should be obvious since these countries with a few exceptions have eliminated almost all freedom of religion and they actively persecute or kill non-Muslims and apostate former Muslims, in addition to killing homosexuals and treating women as property.  Generations of Muslims run through their streets whipping their backs until bloody, screaming death to America, death to Israel, death to England, death to Russia, etc.  If you read Islam’s holy books with an open mind, you will realize it is a cult of death that idolizes the afterlife.  They train their children in schools and public television to kill us infidels.  Only a fool ignores such things.

The standard-issue social system defined by sharia is specifically and intentionally designed to defeat individual freedom and non-sharia governments by using the tolerance, freedom and laws that were the foundations of western societies against those societies. They intend to wear us down.  Free people can hope for reform of Islam, but we cannot reform Islam.  Muslims must reform Islam.  We can only protect reformers from the true believers who decimate them.  Only a fool ignores such things.

Islam shares with communism an impetus to defeat individual freedom.  But the people of Russia, China and Iran love their children too.  Most of the last two generations of Russians and Chinese today are not communist.  But many or even most in the Russian and Chinese government could still be true believers in communism.  They are members of the oligarchy.  They were indoctrinated and conditioned as most Muslims have been indoctrinated and conditioned.   There are millions of Muslims who have been trained for multiple generations to kill “non believers,” wherever they are.   The same was true for Russians and Chinese, but this is no longer true.  Russian and Chinese people are slowly gaining freedoms, but that has not happened in Islam-dominant nations.  Turks and Iranians have lost freedoms, as have Americans and Europeans.

An eyes-open relationship with both Russia and China would help to contain the global hegemony intentions of Islamists/Muslim Brotherhood.   NATO and the EU are not survivable on their present courses.  Iran is ripe for another violent internal revolution.

The “climate change” disaster

This weekend, grab a cup of coffee and read the attached article and some of the references. We all must push back and reject neo-liberal technocracy as it is configured today…and CAGW/”climate change” is a primary example. Here’s a summary:

“the quantifiable entity called ‘the economy’ was created in the 20th century largely by reorganizing and redistributing knowledge and embedding new practices of description and calculation in governmental practice, and can at no point be sharply marked off from official coercion, state corruption and ‘non-economic’ institutions (Mitchell, 2002). Similarly, the neoliberal attempt to simulate efficient market outcomes by deploying cost-benefit analysis in policymaking depends on calculation and regulation undertaken by the state (Lohmann, 2009).”

“Nowhere is the state/market dichotomy more misleading than in the analysis of one of the last, most ambitious manifestations of neoliberalism – the carbon markets that began to emerge in the 1990s as the main international policy response to climate change.”

“Like the neoclassical shibboleths (the efficient markets hypothesis, rational expectations and the like) that have so picturesquely come to grief during the financial crisis, the carbon credit prices flashing on electronic screens in trading rooms on Wall Street or in the City of London reflect a complex political movement to reorganize and redistribute knowledge and power. Spelling out another notable chapter in the political history of commensuration (Espeland & Stevens, 1998), they form a part of one of neoliberalism’s last and greatest class projects: the attempt to appropriate the climate itself. Carbon trading thus takes its place alongside other movements of recent decades that have invented new possibilities of accumulation through the creation of fresh objects of calculation and the intensified commodification of some of the more hidden aspects of the infrastructure of human existence. Examples include attempts to expand credit by mathematizing and privatizing an unprecedented variety of uncertainties through derivatives markets (Lohmann, forthcoming), to privatize creativity through global intellectual property rights (Frischmann & Lemley, 2006), and to transform health, health care and even biological species into measurable, tradeable commodities.”

“The unfolding disaster of carbon trading prefigures the disintegration of the picture of a thoroughly calculable world to which neoliberalism clings more stubbornly than any state socialist project of the past. The important question is how this disintegration is to be effected politically…the answers are not yet clear, but here as elsewhere the fall of neoliberalism will be something to be achieved through patient movement-building and a long series of political struggles, not something automatically given by the mechanics of yet another crisis.”

Bud’s note: I would add Jacques Ellul’s book, The Technological Society, as a reference.

Transparency, not secrecy

Yes, and it would be great for all of us if almost all of these intelligent people in the intelligence community were intelligently employed in non-government, free market jobs. Secrecy inside government should be, must be, actively suppressed by citizen patriots. Otherwise those patriots become slaves.

Almost flat lines and trivial

The first graphic of CO2 concentration is provided by Dr. Roy Spencer. The second graphic is data from NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) at Columbia University in New York City. The third table is from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (UN IPCC).

Almost flat lines and trivial, except that the fraud the alarmists are perpetrating has cost Americans billions of dollars and they want billions more.  The cost of the agreement signed in Paris, approved by President Obama and about 190 other nations and the UN, is estimated at $300 trillion dollars.

Dr. Spencer “is a meteorologist, Principal Research Scientist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and the U.S. Science Team leader for the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer (AMSR-E) on NASA’s Aqua satellite. He has served as Senior Scientist for Climate Studies at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. He is known for his satellite-based temperature monitoring work, for which he was awarded the American Meteorological Society’s Special Award.” (bio from Wikipedia)

Carbon Dioxide can’t cause Global Warming

Chemistry Expert: Carbon Dioxide can’t cause Global Warming

Written by Dr Mark Imisides (Industrial Chemist)

Scarcely a day goes by without us being warned of coastal inundation by rising seas due to global warming.

Why on earth do we attribute any heating of the oceans to carbon dioxide, when there is a far more obvious culprit, and when such a straightforward examination of the thermodynamics render it impossible.

Carbon dioxide, we are told, traps heat that has been irradiated by the oceans, and this warms the oceans and melts the polar ice caps. While this seems a plausible proposition at first glance, when one actually examines it closely a major flaw emerges.

In a nutshell, water takes a lot of energy to heat up, and air doesn’t contain much. In fact, on a volume/volume basis, the ratio of heat capacities is about 3300 to 1. This means that to heat 1 litre of water by 1˚C it would take 3300 litres of air that was 2˚C hotter, or 1 litre of air that was about 3300˚C hotter!

This shouldn’t surprise anyone. If you ran a cold bath and then tried to heat it by putting a dozen heaters in the room, does anyone believe that the water would ever get hot?

The problem gets even stickier when you consider the size of the ocean. Basically, there is too much water and not enough air.

The ocean contains a colossal 1,500,000,000,000,000,000,000 litres of water! To heat it, even by a small amount, takes a staggering amount of energy. To heat it by a mere 1˚C, for example, an astonishing 6,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 joules of energy are required.

Let’s put this amount of energy in perspective. If we all turned off all our appliances and went and lived in caves, and then devoted every coal, nuclear, gas, hydro, wind and solar power plant to just heating the ocean, it would take a breathtaking 32,000 years to heat the ocean by just this 1˚C!

In short, our influence on our climate, even if we really tried, is miniscule!

So it makes sense to ask the question – if the ocean were to be heated by ‘greenhouse warming’ of the atmosphere, how hot would the air have to get? If the entire ocean is heated by 1˚C, how much would the air have to be heated by to contain enough heat to do the job?

Well, unfortunately for every ton of water there is only a kilogram of air. Taking into account the relative heat capacities and absolute masses, we arrive at the astonishing figure of 4,000˚C.

That is, if we wanted to heat the entire ocean by 1˚C, and wanted to do it by heating the air above it, we’d have to heat the air to about 4,000˚C hotter than the water.

And another problem is that air sits on top of water – how would hot air heat deep into the ocean? Even if the surface warmed, the warm water would just sit on top of the cold water.

Thus, if the ocean were being heated by ‘greenhouse heating’ of the air, we would see a system with enormous thermal lag – for the ocean to be only slightly warmer, the land would have to be substantially warmer, and the air much, much warmer (to create the temperature gradient that would facilitate the transfer of heat from the air to the water).

Therefore any measurable warmth in the ocean would be accompanied by a huge and obvious anomaly in the air temperatures, and we would not have to bother looking at ocean temperatures at all.

So if the air doesn’t contain enough energy to heat the oceans or melt the ice caps, what does?

The earth is tilted on its axis, and this gives us our seasons. When the southern hemisphere is tilted towards the sun, we have more direct sunlight and more of it (longer days). When it is tilted away from the sun, we have less direct sunlight and less of it (shorter days).

The direct result of this is that in summer it is hot and in winter it is cold. In winter we run the heaters in our cars, and in summer the air conditioners. In winter the polar caps freeze over and in summer 60-70% of them melt (about ten million square kilometres). In summer the water is warmer and winter it is cooler (ask any surfer).

All of these changes are directly determined by the amount of sunlight that we get. When the clouds clear and bathe us in sunlight, we don’t take off our jumper because of ‘greenhouse heating’ of the atmosphere, but because of the direct heat caused by the sunlight on our body. The sun’s influence is direct, obvious, and instantaneous.

If the enormous influence of the sun on our climate is so obvious, then, by what act of madness do we look at a variation of a fraction of a percent in any of these variables, and not look to the sun as the cause?

Why on earth (pun intended) do we attribute any heating of the oceans to carbon dioxide, when there is a far more obvious culprit, and when such a straightforward examination of the thermodynamics render it impossible.
