Congress shoots itself, again

One person’s statement or belief about a fact (for example an alleged event) is not the fact itself. Another person’s statement or belief about a fact is not the fact itself. The two statements are offsetting. He said. She said. Then credibility of the two people can be compared.

Two people can and often do witness the same event/fact and report it differently. For example, assuming an event did in fact occur, I may have done or said something that hurt you, but I may be unaware that I hurt you. (Especially true if no one said anything about it for 36 years.) In that case, our respective recollection of the event would be different, and truthfully reported by both parties though different, assuming the event in fact occurred. A polygraph may confirm only what you believe, it cannot confirm the fact/event itself. The event/fact itself must be established as evidence before any legitimate trial: Where and when did it happen? What happened exactly? Is there any evidence from the alleged event? Can other people prove that they witnessed the alleged event?

In America (except possibly New Orleans where Napoleonic code may still exist) a person is innocent until proven guilty. And, there is no trial unless and until verifiable facts are submitted in evidence.  Normally, courts and Congress hold evidentiary hearings in closed chambers to protect the parties involved when the charges are potentially injurious.

Allegations which are not supported by factual evidence and which injure another person are legally defined as slander or libel. Such allegations should be heard in closed chambers. Courts and juries award substantial payments to defendents who have been injured by slander or libel, but the damage done may be permanent.

The alleged abuse victim may have legitimate cause against Senator Feinstein or whomever leaked the victim’s letter. The federal judge being tried in a public hearing probably does have legitimate damage claims against the alleged victim, unless facts are finally revealed. But so far there are no facts, no evidence except the victim’s statement, and the victim’s statement is contradicted by the judge. The judge’s credibility is corroborated by over 60 people, many of them women who knew him around the time of the alleged event. As far as I know, the victim’s credibility is not supported by anyone who knew her or the judge around the time of the alleged event.

Where’s the beef? The U.S. Senate is charged by the Constitution with the duty to advise and consent with a U.S. President’s nominations to certain high offices. The Constitution and laws do not specify this be done in public, much less in highly politicized show trials before the media and public. Once again, the U.S. Congress has acted irresponsibly, in a dis-service to their constituents. Many of the Senators have acted deplorably and should be censured or removed, especially Feinstein, Schumer, Hirono, Booker, Durban, Harris  and Gillibrand. These Senators are playing at partisan politics without regard for their victims or their constituents.

A criminal ideology

The cost of refugees to U.S. taxpayers is out of control and that is 100% due to Congress: “The Federation for American Immigration Reform Monday put the five-year price tag at $8.8 billion in federal and state costs, or nearly $80,000 per refugee. There are some 18 federal and state programs refugees can tap for financial help, including food stamps, child care, public housing and school loans.”
“On a yearly average, it is $1.8 billion, or $15,900 per refugee. Included in that are enormous refugee resettlement costs such as $867 million in welfare, housing assistance and education.”…”50 percent of refugees remain on Medicaid for five years.” https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/refugee-costs-88-billion-80-000-per-immigrant-free-welfare-medicaid
On September 19, 2017 President Trump told the UN, “For the cost of resettling one refugee in the United States, we can assist more than 10 in their home region,” Trump said. “Out of the goodness of our hearts, we offer financial assistance to hosting countries in the region, and we support recent agreements of the G-20 nations that will seek to host refugees as close to their home countries as possible. This is the safe, responsible and humanitarian approach.”
In addition to the cost funded at the federal level, “For the 2011-2013 period, the net cost to state and local budgets of first generation adults [who have immigrated to the United States] is, on average, about $1,600 each,” the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, in September 2016, estimated. https://www.nap.edu/read/23550/chapter/2#2
The report by the National Academies concluded that “in their first five years in the United States each refugee from the Middle East costs taxpayers $64,370—12 times what the UN estimates it costs to care for one refugee in neighboring Middle Eastern countries.” But the media and so-called fact checkers online have disputed President Trump’s statement that U.S. resettlement of refugees costs 10 times more.
” The number of immigrants living in the United States increased by more than 70 percent—from 24.5 million (about 9% of the population) in 1995 to 42.3 million (about 13% of the population) in 2014; the native-born population increased by about 20 percent during the same period.”
“Annual flows of lawful permanent residents have increased. During the 1980s, just under 600,000 immigrants were admitted legally (received green cards) each year; after the 1990 Immigration Act took effect, legal admissions increased to just under 800,000 per year; since 2001, legal admissions have averaged just over 1 million per year.”
Welfare scholar Robert Rector at the Heritage Foundation has estimated that 10,000 refugees cost U.S. taxpayers $130 million per year. Over the next 50 years the costs for 10,000 refugees adds up to $6.5 billion. Democrats and the UN are pushing for resettlement of hundreds of thousands of refugees per year in the U.S. Under protest by Democrats, President Trump recently lowered the number of incoming refugees to 30,000 per year, that is $19.5 billion over the next 50 years. So, if President Trump keeps the incoming total to 30,000 per year, that works out to a 50 year cost of about $136 Billion.
The refugee costs are added to the cost of illegal aliens who receive amnesty and work permits through Obama’s executive actions like DACA. If Obama’s unconstitutional executive amnesties are not rescinded, immigrants would receive $9.4 trillion in federal government benefits – including Social Security and Medicare, social programs like Medicaid and food stamps, and new health coverage under Obamacare – while paying back $3.1 trillion in taxes, or a net cost to taxpayers of $6.3 Trillion over the lifetime of these immigrants. Speaker Paul Ryan and Democrats dispute these numbers, believing instead that the growth of the economy due to these immigrants is understated.
Once again Congress is behaving irresponsibly with regard to their sworn duty to the U.S. Constitution and their constituents. They are allowing and funding these programs before they read them, before they know the cost to taxpayers. And, by the way, the numbers above are probably under estimates. For example, financial adviser Bernd Raffelhüschen estimates the refugees entering Germany cost German taxpayers €900-billion, about US $993-billion, that is more than one-fourth of Germany’s gross domestic product (GDP), and that cost is compounding/growing annually.
Explanation: Globalists/Marxists are actively redistributing wealth by redistributing people. UN and EU executives now openly acknowledge this as the purpose of their so-called Climate Change/Global Warming programs and refugee programs. They claim they will reduce the economic disparities between Western and Third-world nations in this manner (contrary to historical fact wherein Marxist societies have always resulted in millions of dead and gigantic economic gaps between tyranically ruling oligarchy versus the rest of the people.) Thus global Marxism adamantly promotes massive migration of asylum seekers from impoverished countries into developed countrues. They have no interest in preserving America’s culture, laws, sovereignty or individual liberty, nor the historical ethnicities and cultures of European nations. There is no expectation of non-Western countries to resettle “refugees” as President Trump and experts recommend. That would be pointless since the end objective of globalist Marxists is to destroy Western economies.
The impeachable crime, dereliction of sworn duty, is that Democrats and RINOs in Congress and in the myriad government bureacracies are actively supporting the destruction of the United States, its culture, economy and its laws by importing and funding people who have no intention to assimilating, and many intend to “fundamentally transform” our nation. These politicians and bureaucrats are working for an ideology instead of working for the Constitution and their constituents.

Why?

“Why quit our own to stand upon foreign ground? Why, by interweaving our destiny with that of any part of Europe, entangle our peace and prosperity in the toils of European ambition, rivalship, interest, humor or caprice?” –George Washington’s farewell address (Sept. 19, 1796)

America’s second civil war

The call of Obama, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Maizie Hirono and other “social justice” radicals “to define what kind of country we are” is an ominous agenda for America.

“The idea that creates the identity ‘American’ is summarized in America’s de facto motto E pluribus unim – out of many, one.”  The idea is for the people in the great American melting pot to meld together, to assimilate as one nation, one language, and one culture under God.  It is the antithesis of multiculturalism.  The idea is not to “fundamentally transform” the nation or to melt the pot itself, which was Obama’s fundamentally destructive political rhetoric.  Studies reported last week that over 50% of the people living in America’s largest cities do not speak English in their homes, and almost all of those cities are being run into the ground by Democrats, are sanctuaries for criminals, and are being destroyed by violence.

“It took a Civil War and two hundred years of sacrifice and struggle to achieve a polity that approached this ideal.  If one political faction were now able to redefine the ideal to conform to its own sectarian beliefs, the country we have have known would cease to exist.  But that is what the current creed of the Democratic Party – “identity politics” – entails; and it is why the current divisions in our political life seem so intractible.”

“Identity politics is, in fact, the antithesis of the American idea.  It is a reversion to tribal loyalties. It regards diverse origins – colors, ethnicities, genders and classes – as primary, and proposes a hierarchy of privilege based on them, which it justifies as a reversal of past oppressions.”

“It is not the proper role of an opposition party in a democracy to mount a “resistance” to a duly elected government and press for its overthrow at the very outset of its tenure.  But that is precisely what the Democrats have done in the first months of the Trump administration.”

“For the second time in its history, the Democratic Party has opted to secede from the Union and its social contract.  The first time was over the issue of slavery; now it is over the issue of whether Americans are to be divided by race, gender, sexual orientation and class.  This time there is not going to be an actual civil war because the federal government is so powerful that whoever controls it will decide the outcome.  The passions of an irreconcilable conflict are still present, but they are channeled into a political confrontation over the executive power.”

“The theory behind “identity politics” is an ideology the political left refers to as “cultural Marxism.”  This perspective takes Marx’s view that society is divided into warring classes, and extends it to encompass races, genders, and ethnicities.  It is a vision that regards one group’s success as another group’s oppression.  “Social Justice” – the proposed remedy for inequality and division – proposes to punish oppressor groups by redistributing their incomes and privileges to the “underrrepresented,” “marginalized”  and otherwise oppressed.  It is a vision that disregards the accountability of individuals and ascribes to group identities the inequalities that are alleged to be unjust.”

“The left has created a term of art – “people of color” – to promote its collectivist views on ethnicity and race.  “People of color” is not grammatical English; we do not refer to “crayons of color” or “televisions of color.” It is a French construction, reflecting the way French people speak (gens de couleur).  “People of color” is an invention of ideologues;  its purpose is to organize the world into the basic dichotomy of Marxism, oppressors and oppressed.”

“I am convinced that the fault-line in American society is not racial but political, and that the great obstacle to a constructive approach to these issues is a leftist agenda that is hostile to America’s democracy.”

All of the quotations above are from David Horowitz in The Black Book of the American Left; Volume IX: Ruling Ideas. http://www.blackbookoftheamericanleft.com/

Examples of hostile communists:

“Whatever eventually happens, Kavanaugh was clearly a smarmy, smirking, entitled and mercenary guy; the odds that he had some kind of skeleton in his closet were pretty good 2/”.

U.S. Senator Kamala Harris (D, California): “Now, I am aware that some people would say that what I just said is plain “identity politics.” But, I have a problem, guys, with that phrase, “identity politics.” ‘Cause let’s be clear, when people say that, it’s a pejorative. That phrase is used to divide and it is used to distract. Its purpose is to minimize and marginalize issues that impact all of us. It is used to try and shut us up. Because, think about — think about when you’ve heard it raised: when we’re talking about race, when we’re talking about gender, when we’re talking about sexual orientation, when we’re talking about civil rights. And, yes, we’re talking about those issues. And we won’t be shut up. And we won’t be silenced. We won’t be silent about immigrant rights. We won’t be silent about a woman’s right to control her own body. We won’t be silence about equal opportunity and equal justice under the law.”  https://www.c-span.org/video/?c4743566/kamala-harris-attacks-identity-politics

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor:  “I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.” …”I further accept that our experiences as women and people of color affect our decisions,” Sotomayor said. “The aspiration to impartiality is just that — it’s an aspiration because it denies the fact that we are by our experiences making different choices than others.” …”Whether born from experience or inherent physiological or cultural differences … our gender and national origins may and will make a difference in our judging. Justice O’Connor has often been cited as saying that a wise old man and wise old woman will reach the same conclusion in deciding cases. … I am … not so sure that I agree with the statement.”

“In a released statement, Wendy E. Long, counsel to the Judicial Confirmation Network, a conservative nonprofit, said, “Judge Sotomayor is a liberal judicial activist of the first order who thinks her own personal political agenda is more important than the law as written. She thinks that judges should dictate policy, and that one’s sex, race and ethnicity ought to affect the decisions one renders from the bench.” …Previously, we have looked at the issue of Sotomayor’s statement about judges making policy . Here we look at the claim that Sotomayor thinks “that one’s sex, race and ethnicity ought to affect the decisions one renders from the bench.”

David Horowitz explains, “Americans generally do not think of themselves as racists or oppressors, and there is no reason they should.  America was a pioneer in ridding the world of African slavery, and in establishing the first multi-racial society in human history.  During the last half-century, Americans have voted equal equal rights to African American citizens and supported massive compensations to African Americans and others who have lagged behind.  To be indicted after such efforts is offensive and unjust.  The reparations claim can only be understood as a hostile, historically ignorant and racially motivated assault on America and its heritage.  Its divisive message and fallacious history can only have a profoundly adverse effect on those African Americans who embrace it, making it impossible for them to see the past clearly, or to find their way to an American future.”

“The present reparations movement in Africa – fully supported by its American counterparts – is thus directed at the very parties who righted the wrong, and did not initiate it in the first place.” (ref 1 p.120)

“Thomas Sowell [an African American history and economics professor at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution] has pointed out that the victims of the reparations movement are actually blacks themselves”: “Is anyone made better off by being supplied with resentments and distractions from the task of developing the capabilities that pay off in a booming economy and a high-tech world?  Whites may experience a passing annoyance over the reparations issue, but blacks – especially young blacks – can sustain more lasting damage from misallocating their time, attention and efforts.”(2) and (ref 1 p. 124)

The left has determined “…to make race function the way class had in the traditional Marxist paradigm.  White males were demonized as an ersatz ruling class responsible for every social disparity between racial groups and genders.” (3)

The actual enemy is…

America must rid itself of the neo-con idea that America should “make the world safe for democracy.” This is imperial dogma. America must bring its troops and weapons home and prepare to defend our homeland. All republics have ended by over-extension, by stretching their finite resources to try to further extend their empire. Poland, Hungary, the Czechs and others are and can be great allies in the fight for liberty. The best thing America can do is to teach them to fish for themselves. Russia is NOT the U.S. enemy in this battle. And NATO is NOT a U.S. ally in this battle.

The threat to America’s future

“Unholy Alliance was the first book to trace the evolution of American radicalism from its support for the Soviet bloc to its opposition to the War on Terror; and to explain how the left and Islamists movements share a common mindset that creates a bond between them. Both ideologies are utopian enterprises that require the suppression of dissent and/or the eradication of the opposition to achieve their vision of paradise on earth – the classless utopia for the left, and the sharia utopia for the Islamists. For the left, America is the hated seat of global capitalism and individualism.  For Islamists, America is the hated seat of Western values, a bulwark against the global domination of Islam and a wellspring of spiritual iniquity.  Consequently, both of these destructive movements have a shared conception of, and contempt for, the “Great Satan” – America – which they identify as the primary source of evil in the world and find common ground in their desire to annihilate or “fundamentally transform” it.” (1)

“Drawing on the Discover the Networks database, the new book (2) documented and analyzed what no other work of scholarship had noticed – that the left has successfully built the richest and most powerful political machine in American history.  The authors’ findings upended the conventional wisdom that conservatives and the Republican Party represent the rich and powerful, while progressives and Democrats are “the party of the people.” To the contrary, their research proved beyond a doubt that the financial assets of the left directed at policy formation actually exceeded by a factor of ten or more those of the right and are being invested in “transforming” America – reorienting it in a socialist direction.”

“…progressives and conservatives see the world differently.  Progressives view themselves as social redeemers, as missionaries seeking to transform the world, which inspires their will to win.  Conservatives are pragmatists whose goals are specific, practical and modest by comparison.  But it is only by embracing their mission as defenders of freedom, and as champions of the victims of progressive policies, that conservatives can confront the fire of the left with a fire of their own.” (3)

“According to Horowitz, conservatives fail to employ  political language that speaks to voters’ emotions, and fail to highlight the moral imperative of opposing policies that are destructive to the poor, to the vulnerable, and ultimately to all Americans.” (1)

David Horowitz is a “red diaper baby” – a child born of communist parents – and a former communist and socialist radical himself.  He reformed and is now a prolific, conservative writer, speaker, and thought leader.  I highly recommend reading and studying David’s work and please join me in donating to his center if you can.

Reminder

The US Congress and the deep state continue to put American citizens and the Republic at dangerous risk by their irresponsible, obstinate failure to control the border and fix the immigration problems. Instead they play at politics, power and money with their cronies to keep themselves in Congress. Their definition of the immigration problem is the first problem; you and I as citizens are not a consideration and never mentioned. It is disgusting, deplorable and a dereliction of their sworn Constitutional duty. Immigration problems are fixable problems, but our selfish Congress is only thinking about themselves. America did not suddenly learn on 9-11 that we had a border and immigration problem. Congress and Presidents and their crony interests allowed this to happen.

Stop it

Write the White House and President Trump. Tell them to stop this.  In 2016, the U.S. defense department and intel services began building a secret base for military drones in Niger, central Africa, costing hundreds of millions of dollars. Work on this base is continuing in the Trump administration. These drones are instruments of unconstitutional, undeclared war which kill hundreds or thousands of innocent people. America is not the world’s policeman, nor do Americans want to be an empire. Stop it.

A loose screw

She has a loose screw, but she has eyes on the U.S. presidency in 2020: California’s junior U.S. Senator Kamala Harris was scolded by an appeals court judge after she argued when she was prosecutor, “…that only abject physical brutality would warrant a finding of prosecutorial misconduct and the dismissal of an indictment, and that perjury was not sufficient.”  Now imagine what such a legal precedent would do to our republic, which is supposed to be based on laws and truth.  Yet, Democrats considered her for a potential seat on the Supreme Court, back when they thought Hillary would be president.

https://observer.com/2015/03/california-prosecutor-falsifies-transcript-of-confession/

“In 2015, judges called out her office for defending convictions obtained by local prosecutors who inserted a false confession into the transcript of a police interrogation, lied under oath and withheld crucial evidence from the defense. “Talk to the attorney general and make sure she understands the gravity of the situation,” federal appellate Judge Alex Kozinski instructed one of Harris’s deputies in court last year.”

Carbon fraud

Today I received a letter from a company I have done regular business with for more than 30 years. The letter was from the daughter of the founder. She was promoting a new initiative to be “carbon neutral” which she is managing. Here is my reply. Modify and use as you see fit. Dear ____,

Don’t waste your time, effort or money on the carbon scam. And it is a scam. “Global warming” or “climate change” is a giant, multi-national fraud. And I mean fraud in the full, legal sense of that word. Have you seen this documentary video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARrAIK9c2C8&feature=share

I am a chemist and my entire career was making, marketing, selling, and servicing instrumentation, software and consumables for measuring chemicals, worldwide. I was VP in 4 public corporations in life sciences instrumentation. I can tell you for a fact that human-produced CO2 and carbon are not a problem for our environment and do not cause any significant change in temperature or climate. On the contrary, CO2 is plant food and THE ONLY WAY carbon … the building block for all life … gets into the food chain.

Also, if you do the math, and I have done it, you will learn that if all of humanity were to devote all of its power plants to heating the oceans fulltime 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, and doing nothing else but that, it would take about 10,000 years to raise the average temperature of the oceans by 1 degree centigrade. In other words, nature controls the climate, not humans and absolutely not the atmospheric trace gas CO2. “Global warming,”/”climate change” is a religion and politics. It is not science.

If you want more information or have any doubt, please let me know and I can supply many references and peer reviewed papers.

Sustainable farming is a different matter and very worthwhile.

Also, reduce or eliminate use of plastics everywhere in your processes. Biodegradable plastics are OK. Plastics made from cellulose nitrate are good. Use hemp or natural fiber rope everywhere. Did you know there is a giant island of swirling trash, mostly plastics, nets, rope, trucks, boats, etc in the north Pacific?

The biggest problem ahead of you and future generations with regard to the environment is the ongoing destruction of the oceans, and implicit in that is pollution of water. Plastics are accumulating in the oceans, in fish, in birds, in plankton, in everything all the way up the food chain. These plastics, some visible some microscopic, also end up in human food and in our cells and bodies.

Concentrated chemicals like fertilizers, pesticides and antibiotics end up in the oceans too, going from land and aquafers to creeks to rivers to oceans.

Next, humans are massively overfishing the oceans and the worst example is fishing the large pelagic and top predator fishes, such a marlin, swordfish, sailfish, bluefin tuna, and shark. Similar to killing a wolf on land, killing top predator fish in the oceans destroys the food chain pyramid beneath it, the smaller fishes, the coral, the microorganisms… humans are killing them all. And most of these large predator fish may only breed and have few young in an average of ten years. Normally, they live long lives too. When these large ocean animals go extinct, the oceans will die, and humans will follow.

You might want to see the documentary Blue, now playing in theatres. Here’s the trailer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dg-tUZG2vsA
