Running on unreality

America and the world are running on unreality. Enormous debt has been accumulated mostly to pay for welfare and social benefits.  The social justice warriors, Democrats, socialists collectivists want much more, even though the debt already accumulated can never be repaid when all assets from all persons and companies are confiscated and taxes are increased to 90%.  Worse, there has been no audit that shows the full extent of the U.S. debt.  For example, 4,684,784 non-citizen households (Hat tip to Theo Benetis) are receiving welfare in the US.  That’s “63 percent of non-citizens are using a welfare program, and it grows to 70 percent for those here 10 years or more.” This trend is common to EU, Canada and other countries as well. Yet so-called “progressives” and those who believe they are among the “higher consciousness” group, including the Jesuit Pope, want to open all borders and take on more debt.

The only possible way out of this impending implosion is to re-institute real capitalism, eliminate crony capitalism, re-institute nationalism and limited government, limit immigration, strengthen border and employer immigration enforcement, deport illegal aliens, end birth right citizenship, and anchor chain immigration, end most secrecy in government, and pray that we can bring God back into our lives as nation.  We need to nurture western society at its Judeo-Christian roots and try to slowly and carefully deflate the debt bubble by reducing government spending, increasing savings, bringing business back to America and growing our way out of this enormous worldwide government debt problem.

The so-called “progressive” collectivists/socialists say they want socialism.  Collectivism would make the worldwide problem far worse. Is that their intent? Of course, they never tell anyone that 100 million of their comrades have died trying their utopian dream.  That is 100 million dead in 100 years and that does not include anyone who died in wars.  That is 100 million dead, conservatively, at the hands of their fellow countrymen and comrades.  Today, as they always have, believers in this utopian dream say those examples in the past did it wrong and this time will be different.

Islam is the only thing which has caused more deaths of its fellow comrades than collectivism, yet so-called “progressives” say they want Muslims also in their all-inclusive utopian society, even though Islam’s leaders say they intend to dominate the world and sharia will not be different this time.  “Death to America,” they say.

The fastest growing debt is welfare debt, but the left is inviting into the country more users of welfare and more people who do not share the values of western culture, especially hard work, limited government and individual sovereignty.  The USA is the only place on the planet that even proposes that its government must legally support individual sovereignty as a God-given right; that right is in tatters today.  The current leaders of EU, Germany and France insist that sovereignty is dead.  Russia, China and most of the world have never had it.  The UK, where a group of Barons forced King John to sign the Magna Carta which began to lift the bondage of feudalism from the shoulders of the people, is fighting in its Parliament to support the democratic vote already received of its people to leave the servitude of the European Union.  UK’s elites want more EU feudalism.

Here is an example, Marianne Williamson, running to become the Democrat candidate for U.S. President, in an enthusiastic stump speech to an enthusiastic crowd of supporters.  (Hat tip Franklin Abbott).  In this speech, Williamson spends 15 minutes setting up her audience with red-meat soap box issues with which Trump, you and I and 90% of Americans would agree.  She states many of the reasons Trump was elected, except for a few “tells” like the common nervous twitches of a didact and her mention of “we, in the community of higher consciousness.”  She identifies many of the problems as would Trump and most of us and then after calling for a non-politician to lead the nation, she attacks President Trump.   Beginning around 17 minutes she goes to her proposed solutions, jumping off into full-on collectivism/socialism/communism.  It’s long (56 minutes).  She is getting vigorous audiences.  This is what we are all up against.  This is happening as we speak.  It is a fact of collectives.  It is identity politics.  It is the operating mode of collectivists, socialists and communists who believe a sort of hive mentality is the future.  They identify as “higher consciousness,” “social justice,” and “woke.” It is identity politics straight out of Saul Alinsky.  The people pushing this (including my members of Congress) believe they are in a “community of higher consciousness” who know better than the rest of us.

Other examples today in America include the technical elites who self-righteously run  Facebook, Twitter, the management of many scientific journals and associations, editors of major newspapers, the NSA, the CIA, the FBI, the DOJ and their equivalents in other countries, the Council of Foreign Relations, the United Nations, Sierra Club, the Democrat Party, Socialist International and its affiliates in a hundred or more countries, and the governments of China, Russia, the European Union, etc.

They have put many holes in the life boat of humanity and they intend to sink her.  One of the communist revolutionaries of Russia claimed they had to be prepared to sacrifice an entire generation.  They want your guns so that we cannot stop them.  This is not different from British King George’s troops attempting to confiscate the guns of colonists in mid 1770’s British Colonial America.  King George was a feudal tyrant and he was stark raving mad.  Today’s forces of tyranny and feudal enslavement have different names and better technology, but their purpose is just as sinister as tyrant King George and his feudal lords.

Listening to the government officials proclaim their spending habits; but, you never hear them talk about paying down the debt? Do they treat their personal household debts the same way? That is a question in vetting the next group of candidates running in 2020 – WHAT WILL YOU DO ABOUT THE OUTSTANDING DEBT OF THE COUNTRY?

What would happen if each household handle their debts like the government does?

I wish you were right but I think you are only half right. And we wouldn’t eat that pizza 😉 I appreciate your vigorous objections to what seems reasonable. I object too but from the tip of the other wing. Perhaps the doomsayers are right. We have gone beyond the beyond. And if they aren’t we can at least admit we have only a shaky view of the future. My hope is that our descendants will thank us for the world that we have left them just like we thank our parents and grandparents and great grandparents who labored long and hard that we might have the leisure to ponder these themes.

Frank, I was hoping you sent that Williamson link to me as a gesture of sarcasm. What is reasonable or right about that repeatedly failed collectivist ideology? It’s a tragedy. The good intentions of the naive is all that I can identify. But, please help me out if you can. Marianne Williamson complains about government and politicians but then proposes solutions which require more government and politicians, which in turn requires more government debt. The immediate problem, governments have run out of other people’s money to spend, is not fixed by spending more money which no one has to empower more bureaucrats and politicians. What is truly a shaky pizza here is the denial of reality and facts in order to implement an ideology. There are many examples, not the least of which is the “New Green Climate” plan, or whatever they call it … they being every Democrat, the UN, the EU and the rest. One of my Canadian Facebook friends puts it well. “An ideological division exists between those who believe reality is determined by consensus and those who know reality is defined by empirical evidence. Left and right are merely labels for that division.” ~ Jean Inconneau, June, 2019. Another Canadian, Jordan Peterson, explains ‘collectivism Is tyranny under the guise of benevolence.” https://youtu.be/ze7J5FmUGR4 Individual sovereignty and responsibility is the lesson from the tragedy of the commons.

Camille Paglia, a feminist Democrat, put it more specifically, “There seems to be a huge conceptual gap between Trump and his most implacable critics on the left,” she said. “Many highly educated, upper-middle-class Democrats regard themselves as exemplars of ‘compassion’ (which they have elevated into a supreme political principle) and yet they routinely assail Trump voters as ignorant, callous hate-mongers.”

“These elite Democrats occupy an amorphous meta-realm of subjective emotion, theoretical abstractions, and refined language,” she said. “But Trump is by trade a builder who deals in the tangible, obdurate, objective world of physical materials, geometry, and construction projects, where communication often reverts to the brusque, coarse, high-impact level of pre-modern working-class life, whose daily focus was the barnyard. It’s no accident that bourgeois Victorians of the industrial era tried to purge ‘barnyard language’ out of English.”

Denial of reality will not reward your hope for our descendants. The hard, cold outcomes, not the intentions, of major government projects (for example LBJ’s Great Society, or Reagan’s 1986 amnesty of illegal aliens, or the Obamacare website that cost more than Trump’s wall, or the war on cancer, or the war against terrorism) is how society must judge government programs. We have just experienced Democrats in collusion with career bureaucrats in FBI, CIA, DOJ, and the Obama White House spying on a candidate for president under false and illegal pretences which continued into a two and a half year attempted coup with the full cooperation of mainstream media against a duly elected president. What is your solution, or what is the Democrat solution to that travesty?
